Well Inspections
If you’re buying or selling a home with a private well, you’re in luck. Water tapped by a private well not only tastes great, it’s often some of the highest quality drinking water available! Maintain that same great taste and standard of high quality by scheduling a well inspection with Gee Inspections.
Our well inspections provide peace of mind that your system is in good working order and that it meets all standard health requirements in the state of Wisconsin.
Well Casing
The Basics of Well Inspection
While Wisconsin State Law does not require a well inspection or water testing for a property transfer, completing a well inspection prior to buying or selling property is critical in ensuring clean and safe drinking water for your home or business.
At Gee Inspections, we make the well inspection process painless and easy. Here’s what you can expect before, during and after your well inspection:
Before your scheduled inspection, we’ll ask for a copy of your well’s log or record. Your well log will contain vital information regarding the history of your well, along with the ground that surrounds it. Knowing roughly what to expect prior to the inspection will aid our certified testers in looking for known pain points and eke out new problem areas.
We’ll do a flow test to determine system output, as well as check the water level before and during pumping.
We’ll test your pump’s motor performance and pressure tank.
We’ll test the water quality and check for anomalies such as odor, cloudiness and more.
We’ll test your water for coliform and e-coli bacteria, nitrates and arsenic, the three mandatory samples required by the state of Wisconsin should you opt for a well inspection. We’ll also test for water hardness and other harmful substances.
After your inspection, we’ll provide you with a detailed report containing test results and our professional recommendations for maintaining well safety and integrity.
